Since y'all have been so helpful lately, I thought I'd run this one by you.
So, for sometime I've been mulling over getting a satellite radio subscription, but I can't decide which one. I'm leaning towards Sirius because I am a die-hard, raised on PBS kid, and they gots the NPR, PRI, and Sesame Street. They also gots Martha, Jim Breuer, and a lot of other interesting talk. They are not, however, known for their abundant supply of music channels and that kinda sucks. (But they do have Eminem's Hip Hop show.)
When I'm in the car, I listen to NPR about 80% of time. Something about those soothing voices keep my kids calm and relaxed. When I'm at home and/or working, that's when I listen to music. But I'm not usually listening to the radio, I'm cruising iTunes or Pandora (or other sources) scouting for interesting playlists.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that listening to the radio is not how I usually discover new music, so I'm not sure if that part of XM would appeal. But I probably would listen to favorite music channels at home.
Other than that, monthy cost is the same, hardware is about the same. XM has 160 channels, Sirius has 125.
If you have Sirius or XM, what do you like best about it? What do you like least?
