If you've ever seen the movie Tampopo (my favorite movie) then this dish will be familiar. It's omuraisu or "omu rice" ("omelet rice"). You take leftover rice and make it into fried rice with chicken, onions, and whatever else you like, then use that as the filling for the omelet. Top it off with a ketchup heart and devour. It's a great way to use up a little bit of leftover rice and is delicious anytime of day, especially for a midnight snack.
While everyone else was eating heart-shaped pancakes and waffles this morning, we were eating this.
