And here's her older sister, age 2, in the same outfit.
Notice the difference in hair. And how much, ahem, looser the shirt is on Bunny.
Ironically the second picture was taken in Portland when we went to buy our house, the one that we are now selling (offer received, whew!). It seems like that time was seventeen lifetimes ago...
Can I just tell you going into the weekend knowing we had finally reached a deal on the house made it the best weekend ever. As soon as we faxed off the counter offer on Saturday afternoon, I crawled into bed and took a nap. I slept the sleep of people that have no kids and was gently awakened at a quarter to six by J. saying that it was time to get up and go out for a date night. (Heaven!)
I don't want to jinx it, but words cannot describe the sheer joy that I am feeling now. My shoulders have dropped six inches and my stomach has unclenched. And as soon as the house sells we're buying a car, some furniture (finally a place for people to sit down), and a reeeeally expensive bottle of champagne.
Here's the birthday girl at her birthday party. Oh fer cute!
We had the world's easiest birthday party. You can do it too, here's how:
1. Have party at neighborhood park. 2. Have pizzas delivered to park. 3. Have pizza place also provide sodas, plates, napkins, and utensils. 4. Run across the street to Walgreen's to get bottled waters, juice, and cups. (One benefit of city living, Walgreen's is everywhere.)
All we had to bring with us was the cake. I didn't have to clean the house (before or after) and I didn't have to cook. Entertainment was provided by the park and it was a gloriously sunny day.
